Windows Browser Device and Fingerprint Checks

Inspect Windows browser OS claims, fonts, display scaling and graphics parameters. Understand why a User Agent does not reliably identify the OS version.

Limits of the OS version claim

Windows 10 and 11 can use the same compatibility version marker in a UA. Available Client Hints may add context, but confirm exact OS versions in system settings. A page cannot read a complete system hardware inventory.

Display scaling and graphics drivers

Windows display scaling, browser zoom and external monitors affect viewport and pixel ratio. Driver changes may affect WebGL parameters. Record display, scaling and driver updates when comparing results.

Fonts and remote sessions

Font probing reports only the tested fonts visible to the page, not necessarily all installed fonts. Remote-session graphics can differ from a local login, so test inside the environment you actually use.
