BROWSER PRIVACY & FINGERPRINT TESTING
Browser Fingerprint Test
See the browser characteristics a website can read. Start the test to generate signals and summaries on this device; this page does not upload results or create a persistent identity.
Run the test
Results stay on this page without creating a server report. No plugin required.
Ready when you are. Select Start test.
What does the fingerprint test measure?
Canvas compares two rendering hashes. WebGL summarizes the renderer and graphics capabilities. Audio uses offline processing without opening your microphone. Fonts, screen dimensions, pixel ratio, time zone and language add context to the browser environment.
How to interpret your results
Matching hashes mean this test received matching inputs, not that two devices belong to one person. Changes can come from updates, drivers, fonts or privacy protection. Change one setting at a time on the same device and repeat the test.
We do not have a representative population dataset, so this test does not report global uniqueness or a probability of being tracked. A blocked or unavailable signal is not evidence of a vulnerability.
Frequently asked questions
How is a browser fingerprint different from a cookie?
A cookie is data stored by a website in your browser. A fingerprint combines observable characteristics. Clearing cookies does not necessarily change those characteristics.
Does private browsing remove my fingerprint?
Private browsing generally isolates or shortens the lifetime of local storage. It does not guarantee changes to screen, renderer or system characteristics. Compare the two modes directly.
Related browser checks
Canvas Fingerprint Test
Generate a Canvas fingerprint with SHA-256 and compare two renders. See how fonts, graphics rendering and privacy protections can affect the result.
WebGL Fingerprint Test
Inspect your WebGL vendor, renderer, shading language, extension count and texture limit. Generate a hash of the graphics capabilities exposed by your browser.
Browser Privacy Check
Check browser privacy signals including storage, permissions, Canvas, WebGL and language. Understand fingerprint exposure and the limits of each check.
