Linux Browser Device and Fingerprint Checks

Inspect Linux browser fonts, graphics backends, language and display information. Understand distribution and remote-session effects on test results.

A UA may not identify the distribution

A browser may report Linux without identifying the distribution or exact kernel version. Missing details are not an error. Language and time zone on the device page describe the current browser environment.

Font and graphics-backend differences

Installed fonts, graphics drivers and software rendering backends may differ and affect Canvas and WebGL. Record browser version and font environment when comparing systems to explain differences more usefully than a combined hash alone.

Containers and remote environments

Headless, container or remote desktop environments can restrict graphics APIs. Investigate the execution environment when results are unavailable instead of treating them as proof of privacy protection. Run network checks through the routes you actually use.
