Safari Browser Fingerprint and Privacy Tests

Inspect Safari font, graphics and system signals. Compare fingerprint and WebRTC results on macOS and iOS while accounting for API support differences.

WebKit privacy boundaries

WebKit applies privacy policies that limit some exposed characteristics and cross-site state. Font visibility and APIs may differ from other browsers. When a tool reports unavailable or protected, check compatibility before interpreting missing data as an anomaly.

Separate device changes from browser changes

First compare Safari with another browser on the same Mac, then separately test an iPhone or iPad. Changing device, OS and browser simultaneously prevents attributing a hash change to one cause.

A useful Safari test sequence

Inspect screen and language in the device information tool, then run Canvas, WebGL and WebRTC. Do not use Chromium runtime probes to infer Safari versions or interpret compatibility names in a UA as multiple browsers running at once.
